Spiritual Warfare (Part 2)

H”While the harp was being played, the power of the LORD came upon Elisha…”

                                                                                                         ~ 2nd Kings 3:15 (NLT)

As I had mentioned briefly in Spiritual Warfare (Part 1) let me reiterate the importance of the power and manifestation that comes from on high when we are all unified in one place praying and dancing, singing and celebrating God’s goodness in one accord.

In many ways, just as we would watch an arena of soccer fans getting louder and louder as one’s favored team gets the ball closer and closer to its opponents goal, so it can be likewise when we are collectively together as believers in an atmosphere highly charged with faith and a high level of expectation!

This is a place The Kingdom of God is being sought and The Presence of God is to be found.

“It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

                                                                                                                                  ~ Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)

When we collectively come together and give God our wholehearted, undivided attention and admiration through our praise and worship, this is a moment in time that should not only transcend all of our current woes, hang ups and present trials but as well elevate us above them all into the very atmosphere of Heaven where God and Christ Jesus are seated ruling with all the power, might and angelic assistance we will ever need to overcome all of our present, trying, complicated and often messy situations.

You See, we may not always be real clear on how things got so messed up in our lives but at least we can rest assured and be confident on where it is we are to turn our hearts for some fast and immediate breakthrough answers.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. ”

                                                                             ~ Psalms 100:4 (NLT)

When we focus our hearts on The Kingdom of Heaven and we enter into his gates with gratitude and thanksgiving, singing songs and hymns in our hearts for all he has done and all he is still doing in our lives and then we get stirred up and move along even deeper into his Kingdom entering into his courts with praise, shouting, clapping and even dancing over how great our God is and how good without restraint he has been.

When we fall before him prostrate in subjection or hopping and dancing with Joy for what he has done or even getting ready to do, when we clap and shout or travail and cry in our continued pursuit of seeking his Kingdom we will inevitably find ourselves boldly entering into the inner corridors of heaven, behind that veil, basking  before His Throne, where his tangible shekinah glory and presence is inhabited and beheld.

This is where all authority in Heaven and Earth is found and delegated… and this my friends is where all of our answers and remedies for earthen woes are found and obtained. It is here in his presence that all wisdom, healing, deliverance and salvation flows.

For spiritual authority, there isn’t enough to be said about our drawing nigh.

Once The Power of Heaven impacts your life realigning and healing whatever mess the devil may have come to make of it, Heaven will no longer be a place you merely believed you will go when you die. Not at all, rather Heaven will be a very real and tangible place you have been to and that you will find yourself now living to continually bring to the Earth.

Once we have tasted the goodness and Glory of God together, once we have been raptured up, transported from Earth to Heaven into this amazing and intimate reconciliation we find with Our Father in Heaven, once we have worshiped together in this elevated place with our brothers and sisters and breathed in his Kingdom’s atmosphere and felt the delivering, life changing, mind renewing, heart mending, soul restoring, healing power of his love being lavishly poured out on us as his children, Heaven will become a place not only that you have been to but whose authority, impact and influence you will carry.

We must press in.

“Dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.”

                                                                                                                       ~ Hebrews 10:19-24 (NLT)

I want you to see me and you sincerely seeking Christ on his throne seated at the right hand side of God Our Father, pouring out his Spirit on us and as we respond to him with outstretched hands and open hearts, I want you to see us now as you would a little child lifting up his hands to be picked up and held by his father.

“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.”

                                                                                                                                ~ Colossians 3:1 (NLT)

What a place to set our sights, on the realities of heaven and not just to get or receive something from his hand but to just be there reconciled in his presence.

“You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”

                                                                                                                                 ~Psalms 16:11 (NLT)

Thus, The Most Powerful Advice I can give to anyone seeking Victory in Spiritual Warfare.

1.) Seek First The Kingdom of God. (See Matthew 6:33)

2.) When you’re there and you find God, Submit to him.

3.) After you have submitted to God. Then resist the devil. (See James 4:7)

Trying to resist the devil before you have first learned how to submit yourself to God is failing and futile to say the least. This will only set you up for a life full of many defeats.

So as far as we have come thus far. Spiritual Warfare Part 1 and 2 has been primarily

(Part 1) Recognizing (or discerning) The Enemy

(Part 2) Going to see what The King has to say about this

In my next blog Spiritual Warfare (Part 3) I will speak of some real practical ways God will equip and use us as his children to bring Heaven’s reign to our own homes, families, friends, ministries and communities here on Earth.

In his Love, Pastor Scott Boggs
