Spiritual Warfare (Part 3)

“If all of you are prophesying, and unbelievers or people who don’t understand these things come into your meeting, they will be convicted of sin and judged by what you say. As they listen, their secret thoughts will be exposed, and they will fall to their knees and worship God, declaring, “God is truly here among you.”

                                                                                                 ~ 1st Corinthians 14:25 (NLT)

I have come to see and know that it is in these prophetic atmospheres where people are free to operate in The Gifts of The Spirit and where The Spirit of God is not being quenched that people come into very real, life changing, powerful encounters with God.

But let it be clear, that I am not suggesting that the only way to God is through corporate praise and worship. God has unlimited ways to get to your heart. Even now, as you read this blog. All of these things can start to become more real and clear to you.

It doesn’t matter whether you are among people celebrating his love and goodness or sitting quiet in his presence. God is not far. He is as nigh as our breath.

Anywhere you are, even right now. To access God is as easy as embracing Christ as lord, turning your heart to God, acknowledging his presence and simply saying “Father.”

The Apostle Paul was riding on a donkey when he was “blinded by the light.”

So please understand, that I am not suggesting in the least, that we all must get real loud and shout before God will ever notice or hear our cry. No, not at all. This is what I call “The Horton Hears A Who Theology.” It’s bad theology. God is not hard of hearing and the faintest cry from one of his little ones is possibly the loudest to be heard in his corridors. Not even a sparrow falls to the ground without his knowing.

The sometimes loud celebration and the often still reverence of His children coming together in corporate praise and worship is rather an expression of our own reconciliation.

To be reconciled to God is something we can shout about and sometimes in our overwhelming gratitude, his unceasing love can be much to cry about.

“For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness                                                   and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son..”

                                                           ~ Colossians 1:13 (NLT)

So whether you have had an encounter with The Power of His Kingdom amidst other celebrating children of God caught up in exuberant praise and intimate worship or if you are one right now sitting alone somewhere reading this and you began to feel the warmth of God or His radiating presence tingling the hair on your arms or even powerful shock waves of differing emotions rippling through your soul.

God is not limited in his ways to get to your heart, a child he loves.

As a matter of fact, he sent his son Jesus to conquer everything that would be coming between you and him and gave him this mission to get you and bring you back home to him who sits on the throne in Heaven.

“He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.  He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD. Oh, the joys of those who trust the LORD.”

                                                                                                                     ~ Psalms 40:1-3 (NLT)

This is the place to be for our greatest victory in any kind of spiritual warfare.

Let me ask you this, if you were to be picked up and held like a child at the right hand side of Our Father God in Heaven right now.

Being steadied and taught by his own heart and hand to walk in his ways.

Do you honestly believe there is any devil, oppression or wile on earth that could come anywhere near that.

Spending time in His presence is second to known.

It is here with Jesus that we are given our authority and are learning his supernatural ways.

“That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked…”

                                                                                                              ~ Ephesians 1:19-21 (NIV)

That is delegated Kingdom Authority from the one who holds all authority in Heaven and on Earth given to us as his children to keep bringing Heaven and advancing His Kingdom.

“God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms”                                                                                           ~ Ephesians 2:6 (NIV)

Now as far as how we bring in Heavens reign, rule and authority here on Earth and what that can look sometimes look like. That will be the topic of my next blog.
