“And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.”

In an age where knowledge is no longer reserved and esoteric for an elect few but rather quite easily gained at the finger tips of anyone who can simply read and type. I feel it would be of the up most of arrogance and ignorance to try to under mind or lord over anyone who can fact check you on anything you say or claim.
It has always been the way of the elite in this world to lord over others by the power of their literacy. Let’s face it, there is still that lingering logic that say’s dumb uneducated peasant’s make great servants and are wonderful for growing and producing stuff that others can come in and reap with one quick sweep of the pen. It’s sad to me but still true nonetheless.
What comforts me is that My King and Role Model Jesus Christ chose to take on the role of a servant. He came to serve, not to be served (See Matthew 20:28 or Mark 10:45) and before ascending to The Highest Office one will ever hold on Earth or in Heaven he took on the role of a foot washer as an example to his disciples as to how we should serve one another.
Kings serve the people. Tyrants use them for themselves.
I love that we live in a day and age where we can all search out the truth for ourselves. We can literally work out our own salvation with fear and trembling before The Lord and come to find God as one whose love demolishes our fears.
Psalms 32:9 say’s “Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.”
WE were born again to be free!
My imploring to you and my own life long practice has been to get understanding. Proverbs 4:7 say’s “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
Don’t just take someone else’s word for it…. Don’t be like a mule with a ring in your nose where someone can grab you and just lead you anywhere they want. Learn to see the end from the start and seek God for his leading because at the end of the day it’s not going to be about anyone else’s walk with The Lord but your own.
Here’s some good news. Jesus doesn’t put a ring in your nose and make you a slave to promote his own selfish agenda’s. No on the contrary…. Jesus walks right with you side by side and invites you to serve humanity with him as he did and still does with Holy Spirit Endowed Power From On High.
Jesus still washes the feet of those who have taken up his command to love and serve others. This is the way and the more I study and the more I seek biblical truth and understanding the more I see The Heart of a King who will willingly bow down and wash the feet of the ones he serves.
This is the way of God. We are called to love and serve others. Not to be served and to have servants. This was the way of Christ and as children of God ourselves born again of His Spirit we are called to serve not because we are slaves but rather because we are his children who simply imitate Our Father who art in Heaven.
