Truth of God For A Lie

There is a thin line between selfish ambition and true faith.

One will manifest the heart, plan, purposes, and will of God in our lives, while the former will only appeal to the greed in the hearts of men leaving them in the end with many unanswered prayers and unfulfilled promises.

Christ is a hard call that will come with many trials, testing, resistance, hardship, and persecution.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.…” ~ James 1:3-4

James the brother of our Lord then goes on to emphasize our need for Wisdom.

He says;

“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.…”
~ James 1:5-6

Proverbs tells us so beautifully;

“The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” ~ Proverbs 19:8

James Later in Chapter 3 tells us;

“Who is wise and understanding among you?

Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” ~ James 3:13-18

We can begin to see clearly here not only by these verses found in James and Proverbs but by so many other examples and scriptures found throughout the whole bible that the message here has never been as much about giving and getting (as so many have so sadly made it) as much as it has always been about Wisdom, Peace, and Righteousness.

The Wisdom to Prosper Honestly will bring a great deal of Peace and Righteousness to your life.

A place that preaches a message that appeals more to the greeds of men and women will never reap an honest harvest of Righteousness for them. It will only end up a field of thorns and thistles where people get hurt by unfulfilled empty promises in exchange for their faithful dollars.

A place that has “exchanged the truth of God for a lie.”
