Was “Sinful Nature” added to the Bible?

In Koine Greek, Paul never wrote the words “sinful nature” in Romans.

The word he used was sarx, which simply meant flesh.

Neither did he ever say that God presented Jesus as a “sacrifice”. The word he used was hilastērion, which translates “The Mercy Seat”.

Paul was saying that being led by your flesh will lead to death, but being led by the Spirit will lead to life….

And he was also saying that Jesus was now the place of mercy that God used to meet only the high priest once a year in the holy of holies of the temple.

In essence, he taught that Christ was the new place of mercy through which we can all enter God’s presence.

And that it was his love for us that fulfilled the law and his blood that cleansed and purified that sacred new place of meeting.

Jesus gave his life so we can have it.

And we now meet God in Christ.

The temple was cracked, and the veil was torn the same day Jesus yelled from the Cross, “It is finished.”

Christ in deed came to fulfill the law in an unforgettable demonstration of his love for us so that that same love …

The love of The Father and The Son, by The Power of The Holy Spirit, may be in us!
